The technology is still far from perfect. Google Assistant has long pauses before responding just as I am beginning to speak. Siri has trouble when a fan is running in the room and speaks out unexpectedly without being addressed. Neither will answer questions about its own functions, which is annoying. You could fire an “assistant” who was so inconsistent but, because of the occasional convenience (hands-free timer setting, most often), I put up with these peculiarities.
Is that how you pronounce Alexa! They get a name of a great way to cook steak, I get a name from parents who actually wanted a boy. (No offense Kathy and Lisa.)
