Some sects place more value on following rules than on saving a life. How many people have died because their rules only allow prayer instead of medical treatment?

runar, it breaks my heart to hear such stories, especially when the medicine is there to help them. It reminds of a common story: A man is drowining in the ocean, he asks God to save him. Soon a boat comes by and offers to get him, but he refuses. Soon, another boat comes by, a bigger one, and offers to save him, and he refuses. He drowns, and when he gets to Heaven asks God “Why didn’t you save me?!” and He simply replies “what do you think the boats I sent were for?” Miracles can be found in everyday people!

A friend of mine was an organ donor when she died…9 lives were saved because of it.

everything I’ve read says that being an organ donor doesn’t go against any religion. ORGAN DONOR AND PROUD OF IT!!!!

True runar. Like the Florida parents of a boy many years ago who was stung to death by hornets because their religion forbids them to seek medical attention. Still disapoints me to this day. With me and my family, it’s both: Medical help and prayer!
