I “thought” years ago of having a butchers apron covered with fake blood for when the “door to door people” try to convert me. My late wife wouldn’t let me.

Good plan. And no doubt fun ‘preparing’ the ribs for presentation.

People don’t realize that it’s often the little dogs you have to watch out for. Mine have mostly been small breeds. I can only speak from very limited experience, but my 8 to 15 pound dogs would growl, snarl, and even try to bite anyone outside of the family who got too close. More than once, my hand has gotten in the way while trying to come between my dog and some other person or animal, and I’ve been accidentally bitten by my own pup. The CDC calls it “Short Man Syndrome” and says it’s a real thing … that very short men are three times more likely to be aggressive and to commit violent assaults. In my mind, it’s connected to Richard Dreyfuss for some reason. He’s 5’ 5”, and so often plays the tough guys. Maybe it’s the same with dogs? Before my little dogs, there were 2 medium size ones … a Cocker Spaniel and a Fox Terrier. They loved everybody!
