Giant Subwoofer Video This was a demonstration built by graduate students at the University of Wisconsin -Madison in 2011. It’s purpose was to be physically large so elementary school kids could look inside while it was running and illustrate the how a speaker works on a grand scale (hence a transparent cone). Although powerful, it was not designed to be competitive with state of the art sub woofer systems or be high audio quality.
I like how the music-bubble is red like the Fender! Will Henry uses colour in all kinds of ways in Wallace the Brave – I don’t know of anyone else in comics right now that uses it so creatively to convey so many different things. And a gorgeous palette as well!
Versatile—both teacher and pupil. If you have several strings to your bow, you’re slightly less unlikely to make a living in music. Especially if you master the upright bass—that’s needed by all kinds of ensembles, from the hootenanny to the supper club to the opera.

Kinda like the time I fired that 81mm mortar without earplugs. All you hear for a while is a distinct ringing and not much else.

She’d do better with an Ibanez Prestige or a Suhr.

Surprised they haven’t noticed their audience at the window yet—they’re not exactly being sneaky about it anymore.

You can’t play the Jimi Hendrix version of the US National Anthem… quietly.
(Please folks, try not to get politics on my comment.)

❤️ Rose. She is deeply complex.

I had her pictured as a Gibson Les Paul kind of player. Jazz not Blues, she hasn’t seen enough of life to play the Blues.

Love the detail of Wallace’s feet on different lobster traps. We’ve all done that—each foot on a different “stepstool.”
