Alexa theoretically wouldn’t be so bad as long as it wasn’t answerable to Bezos. Not that I trust Siri either.

My son has his house totally automated. So when our grandchildren come to visit, we will have to give them instructions like, “If you want to turn the lights on, you will have to walk over to that wall and move the little lever up.”

We had problems turning on the lights in his house because we did not have the proper code words. If you don’t phrase the command properly, things don’t happen. You have to learn bot-speak. We tried to turn on the TV and wound up opening the garage door.
