    A well-tried and long-used tactic. Old books and statues have always been useful for controlling governments. Seen any statueslately? There are a couple just down the road here that show the guywho chopped off one foot of the revolt-prone once-free nativeshere. He’s on horseback, waving a sword. Scare the locals to ‘stayin submission’ to his dominant religion. Like in the American South.

    Remember the Alamo? fought because Mexico had freed the slaves in 1829, Texans were fighting to keep slavery – you have to really dig in history to find real story – oh and according to program on the history channel, Davy Crockett was last man standing, but gave Santa Anna a Masonic sign and was allowed to walk away…showed documents signed by him around 1842 buying property
