Calvin is the better insurance for Rosalyn tuiton.

Everyone should be getting paid to deal with Calvin.

Soon Rosalyn will be asking for all of it upfront and then just leave to avoid the trouble.

Rosalyn should demand at least 60% up front for Calvin’s greeting.

Mom can see Calvin stick out his tongue. She should take away Hobbes for a day.

I wonder if babysitters post difficulty ratings for kids, like they do for hiking trails?

I guess Roz will one day work in the customer service industry and win the Employee of the Year Award. She certainly is getting enough training with difficult “people” from babysitting!

There’s a movie called “Babysitters Beware” with Danny Trejo. It’s not great cinema, but it’s adorable.

By the end of the evening Calvin’s reputation will either be cut down a notch or two or gain superstar status among the brat circle.

Not many baby sitters were paid in 100 dollar bills…

Not really wise for Calvin’s mom to tell Rosalyn how hard it is to get a babysitter for him. That gives her the power to ask for whatever wage she wants. Though Calvin probably already has a bad rap with babysitters, and it must be hard for his parents to come up with enough money to both their date and Calvin’s babysitter.

From the looks of mom’s bowtie they must be going square dancing….

I think it was a Dennis the Menace movie where the experienced sitter told the new sitter, “Wear pants and bring a helmet.”

Reminds me of the strip where Calvin’s mom is phoning his former babysitters and reports that all hung up on her except one who began laughing hysterically. Yep, Calvin has a reputation.

Sometimes you get more money for doing what nobody else will do, but you earn it.

And you also promised me a loaded tranquilizer gun…

Roz is smart, and more than capable of handling Calvin and his shenanigans, as time will tell…

Fun fact: This was Rosalyn’s first appearance, yet the Sunday strip that aired after this half-week is supposed to come before it.

Babysitters can’t be paid enough, when it’s kids like Calvin. I babysat a whole family of Calvins (6 kids!). I was run off my feet the whole evening. I would manage to get them all in bed by midnight, IF I was lucky. The mother didn’t get home from her “date” until well after 2am. I got a whole $2 for my efforts. :P
