With a classic comic such as this one, after so many years of doing it all and saying it all, Jim still belts out occasional memorable masterpieces. This one is for the ages. It has everything, Garfield’s gluttony, sloth, and bitter squabble with Jon, all for a Monday strip.
It reminds me of my cousin as a toddler taking a piece of cat food out of the dish and placing it in front of our family cat and saying, “Eat it, kitty cat!” Kitty thought room service was fine with him, and happily ate each piece.
Remember when Homer Simpson found himself in a wheelchair with a food tube and a catheter…he thought he’d died and gone to heaven. Oh yes, there was a helper monkey also.
