Kind of reminds me of a story my Grandfather told me: said he knew a guy named Joe Stinks, who hated his name and couldn’t wait til he was old enough to apply to have it officially changed. He changed it to Bill Stinks.
Worked for years at a restaurant, where they would give us a cake for our birthday. Every year Christel would be misspelled. One year the manager thought he’d found the remedy, he order the cake with “Happy Birthday Miss ___” [my 3 letter last name]…They misspelled my 3 letter last name!
