I haven’t been to a movie theater in decades. It’s cheaper to just buy the movie on DVD. And now that I have Netflix, I have no reason at all to go to a theater.
Sad…………we went to the movies every week: newsreel, cartoon, continuing story, two features, lotsa pop corn and good movies with dialogue, no need for visual effects. And, oh yeah, sticky floor.
Unless and until they get this Delta/Covid under control, the movie theaters will probably have to go back to “closed” for a long time. It could all be taken care of very quickly and permanently if the numnuts would all just get vaccinated-today.
The big-screen experience does add to seeing movies, in my mind. Expensive, though, and honestly, not many movies that I actually want to see are out …

I drove past the local 24 plex yesterday. Weeds growing up in the parking lot and a big for sale sign on the property.

Saw an interesting documentary about Netflix yesterday. Saw it on Amazon Prime.

Theaters? Why would I want to see a movie with a bunch of ill manored people I wouldn’t want to even talk to?!?

I quit going to the movie theaters when they installed those stupid supposedly luxury chairs. They were huge and uncomfortable.

I don’t miss movie theatres at all, although I nostalgically think of the days gone by when I enjoyed going.
Jonas should stay up on a seat.
Good evening, Crew!
