What were you doing, Andy, leaving your beer in the tide?

You can’t tell me Andy wouldn’t be swimming for it himself. He’d have it back on shore by now. He’s no stranger to water, as many times as he’s fallen into the canal.

It would seem to me that if the beers are floating that high, that they are empties.

A beer emergency is a dire emergency for our poor Andy!

Andy should offer the lifeguard one of those beers, as an incentive.

Suggestion? Swim the 7 feet and fetch it yourself.

You are on your own there Andy.

Should offer one of the beers as a reward for the rescue, but Andy’s not that generous. Given how often he falls in the canal, he’d be fine swimming after the case!

But will you save Andy after he tries to swim out to retrieve it ?

Explain to me how a (full) case of beer would float?

Finding Nemo but losing beer is a losing proposition….

Another beachgoer: “Here, Mate, I’ll swim out and fetch your beer if you’ll share!”

We would spend summers camping when I was a kid. Camped next to a river we kept our sodas, beer, milk and so on in the river to keep cold. One year the rope holding the sodas and beer broke and the bag containing such floated down river. Dad just said someone down river would have a nice surprise while we did without. We really didn’t miss it.

Are we sure that is not a box of porn?

Hey, Affie.

Don’t worry, I am feeling a lot better after yesterday. These things happen. I’ve had at least 2 other venepuncture fails in the past. If it happens 3 times in a row the Blood Service removes the donor from the register and they can not donate any more. Luckily that has never happened to me 3 times in a row. Last time I had a “vein fail” was in 2018! I know because I was just about to go on my first cruise back then.

I met up with my “newish” friend today. We had a great time. He had to have an actual blood test yesterday. Sadly he has Addison’s Disease and is steroid dependent. So he needs regular blood tests. What I like is how he keeps a positive, upbeat, humourous attitude about it all. Not doom and gloom like me.

Better get it back before the local marine life guzzles it all down. Can fish get drunk?

It IS an emergency. Andy bought that beer at a resort. Probably cost 10 pounds or so.

But if you start drowning while trying to retrieve it, then I will rescue you. But don’t tempt me.
