We had one of those at one of my grade schools. I enjoyed it, but one of my friends fell and broke her arm. They were extremely high for grade schoolers! And of course, just dirt underneath.
Although in some ways people have gone too far in trying to protect kids IMO, this was an accident waiting to happen. Yet in my two years there, that was the only incident I heard about – and I’m sure kids get hurt even on today’s playgrounds!
