To me you’d have to be one of the oldest Pluggers to remember THAT one. :/

My Dad taught me that song at an early age. Talk about ear worms!

Just this weekend I had that song running through my head.

Well, I’ve been stuck on Fiddler on the Roof for the last month. Fortunately there are several earworms to choose from.

I learned that song when I was a kid…and kids’ll eat ivy too, wouldn’t you? (I know, a kid is also a baby goat)

Never heard of it.

Haven’t heard that song in a coon’s age. Now it’s got me thinking of a bunch of other nonsensical nursery songs.

I know the song, Dad used to sing it all the time. He had modified it to be a little x rated though.

Really? I think my dad was too young for that. And he died at 95, 5 years ago…

It’s worse when it’s only part of a song and you can’t remember the title.

I always thought the “wouldn’t you” should have been “wooden chew”.

My recently deceased wife’s Grandfather used to sing it to all of the Great Grandchildren, that’s how I know it. But I am also a Plugger (61)

I thought the song says "Little goats eat oats and little lambs eat ivy. What’s with the Mairzy Doats?

“Mares eat oats and does eat oats, a kid will eat ivy, too. Wouldn’t you?” Kid referring to small goat.

Maybe it is mares eat oats and little lambs eat ivy. That sounds right.

I was just singing that song to myself the other day. I need to teach it to my grandchildren. Mom taught it to me when I was a youngun.

Mom taught us kids that song. As far as earworms go, the last couple of nights I’ve been “earwormed” with “Man in the Box” by Alice in Chains, so I’d say my musical taste is fairly broad. (As for songs in the last 10 years or so, I don’t think I know a single lyric.)
