Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead….

One time I was talking to my sister-in-law (brother’s wife). I asked her if she could not tell something that I told her. She told me that she won’t tell anyone else, but not to ask her to keep a secret from her husband. That was such a huge marriage lesson for me. (They’ve been married for 45 years & still as much in love as when they first married.)

I had friend who we used to go out, on occasion, for “ladies night”. After a while we stopped. Found out later that she had had a ‘boyfriend’ and didn’t won’t me to know because she knew I would have told my husband. After my hubby passed, she knew he wouldn’t be able to tell his friend about it.
