    The local beach park is being renovated with concrete paths and facilities near the water’s edge. I remarked to the foreman that it will all be under water soon because of climate change. He got a big chuckle out that statement and said the 100% Democratic city council approved the plans. Apparently they are not worried.

    Yeah… There isn’t enough thermal energy to move water from the seas to farther inland, where it takes longer to return, and maintains lower atmospheric temperatures. But that is because there WAS, and too much water was piled up inland as glaciers, which catastrophically cooled the entire world. The oceans are still being cooled by polar ice left over not only from the most recent ice age, but also from the one before that, in the southern hemisphere.
