Mr. Bergan: Bend your wrist, April- and pluck the strings with the tips of your fingers. April: Grampa lets me use a thumb pick. Mr. Bergan: That's a useful tool, but I want you to learn this way, first. April: My fingers hurt. Mr. Bergan: They'll get stronger. April: Grampa teaches me by ear. Mr. Bergan: Well, we're working with the notes. April: But, it's harder this way! Mr. Bergan: Yes, it is. Learning an instrument takes a lot of hard work! April: Then, why do they call it playing?!
