@Cappers past and present Today’s strip Is funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is a typical polititian unless he gets a kickback of of a couple or more ales he won’t allow the poor bloke into the darts team :o) my avatar is of a spoof of an airline Captain unable to take of because his mummy grounded him ;o) hope you guys and gals will have a nice day, our Finally Friday should be a little busy but we should cope I hope , we both are in a good mood ,no shopping to do or errands to run, we will just stay in the house because of the infernal heat wave drinking lots of chilled bottled water till this evening when I’ll be having my fav nosh , sausages , Cole slaw and potato salad with lots of salad dressing , keep safe and hydrated and thanks for caring pals

An honest man is one who stays “bought”. IOW, not Andy Capp.

Bribery is the tie-breaker.

Buy Andy an ale or two – means often – very often. Or “off” you go – Red carded….

Ale Ale – the gangs all here…. HAIL HAIL song, “the gang” meant a group of friends. Having everyone together meant happy times. For Andy it’s a full case of Beer bottles clinking happy happy together – all for him. Maybe a pint of Stout for Flo.

Forget the bribe Harry, with Capp one ale is too many and a hundred is not enough.

It’s a quid pro quo situation … if young Harry spends a few quid on the old pro’s drinks maybe he’ll become a quoin of the team. He’s got to remember that filling Andy’s empty glass may mean Andy’ll filling an empty slot on the team with Harry.
