I don’t worry so much about “Big Tech”, but I’m terrified by the stupidity of many (most?) of Social Media’s users!

I never read news on FB. I go to a variety of sources on-line. For me, FB is just for seeing what my friends have happening.

I’ve never joined Facebook and never will. Businesses who have fb for their web page will just have to do without my business.

You decide what to post and you decide who can see what you post, so no, that’s not how fb works.

Don’t have it. Won’t have it. And my life is much more full because I have go comics.

But this cartoon? SPOT FREAKING ON.

I read a few years ago that the divorce attorneys love it. Seen some instances of FaceBook being used to prove criminal timelines too.

Anybody remember Tommy Lee Jones in the movie MIB? He mentioned the Enquirer and the government were the same entity? Seems familiar.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Mark Suckerberg pumped millions into helping get certain people elected in 2020 – people that I’m sure he knows will do little to nothing to hamper his ability to do whatever the hell he wants to do.

Have had friends threaten to make a Facebook page for me, but nope, still not on Facebook. Between emails and texting being readily available and the phone itself, I just don’t see the point.

I post on FB, for my friends, and never friend anyone I don’t know IRL. That said, I post my triumphs and tribulations, and things I find funny, for a long time reposting others material because, well, it’s unoriginal, borderline plagiarism, but, if it’s really good, m’kay.

Unlike some of my friends who seem to post nothing but reposts. Some irrelevant, like warning of sex offender, from a couple years ago or ridiculously distant.

It all depends upon what you share on Facebook. I don’t share anything I wouldn’t want a random stranger knowing about me. And as for my activity on the site, I regularly visit pages that have nothing whatever to do with my actual interests. When I turn off adblock, the ads they seem to think I want to see rarely have anything to do with my real interests. And I use Firefox which has a Facebook sandbox extension/add-on, so no cross tracking from other sites.

*no cross tracking from Facebook ON other sites. It even blocks the share button from reporting back to Facebook. I also added a Google sandbox.
