It’s a good joke, but I don’t think people usually break thier legs skateboarding. Its arms. Guy in my class broke his arm skateboarding, didn’t learn his lesson, and a week or so later broke his other arm.
Back in 1976 my skateboard came with a concussion. Mom tells me it happened on a Saturday afternoon. I don’t even remember riding it. I only remember waking up in the hospital on Sunday morning.
When I was a kid, we made our own skate boards by nailing the wheels from an old pair of Roller Skates to an old Board.
Considering that, by the time the Skates were in such bad condition that nailing them to a board was no Loss, the Skate Boards were not the “Best” in the world. But, we did manage to extend the “Fun Life” of the Wheels a little bit.

Would not be surprised, especially if the purchaser is over 30.

Get the elbow and knee pads, too, and those prong-like wrist protector things. And a helmet, of course.

Don’t forget the catastrophic insurance policy. The policy itself is no great shakes, but oh, those premiums…

I’d go with the helmet first.

If you skateboard in zero gravity, you don’t fall down. But you can run into things.
