Transcript:
born january 8, 1935 died august 16, 1977 remembering elvis iris: i fixed elvis a fried banana-and-sponge sandwich at least once a day for over 16 years. if he didn't get his fried banana-and-sponge sandwich he'd commence to yellin' & carryin'-on & ululatin' & rendin' his garments & walkin' in tight circles & claimin' he'd become death the destroyer of worlds & i don't know whatall. iris duvalle, sous-frycook, memphis recipe combine 2 slices white bread 1 banana sliced lengthwise 1 kitchen sponge (clean) pan-fry in butter to taste. serve with pork gravy & kudzu. shrub: i never met the man but his damn dog came by nearly every day. a shrub, memphis barapti: the elvis of my recollection is the wild young rackabilly, his hair slick with yak butter, reaching your very soul with a honeyed voice & a few easy chords, not the bloated self-caricature of the later years. also his film work with ann-margret stands out. barapti spalambo, tibet elvis 1: well, yesterday we were all gonna go in the bathroom & overdose on a combination of pharmaceuticals as a, you know, gesture. then we decided, nah, life's too short. elvis 2: you know what? i'm going to start dressing like robert goulet instead. the elvisionairies, las vegas

I agree with Barapti. And the Elvisionaries is a great word, should be in Webster’s.

He has been dead longer than he was alive. Still one of the richest dead entertainers.

Love the Robert Goulet reference.

Needless to say, today is March 23, not August 16.
But, what the hey? Elvis rocked, for a while. Then he got fat and used drugs and died….
