I’m sure the moment Farley’s potty-trained, he’ll sleep wherever he wants.

My youngest wouldn’t let either of our dogs sleep in a cage they were in/on her bed from day one.

Our littlest pup, who weighed in at 2 lbs, slept curled under my chin for the first week. If I got up in the night, I carried him with me. When my cranky old cat was a kitten, I slept on my stomach with my arm hanging over the bed and him under my hand for over a week. Gotta love it!

Most of us seem to like any sort of baby or youngster.

I couldn’t cage that cute puppy. Where is the fun of having him be part of your family, by doing that?

Don’t let the cute puppy on the bed. Or else the big old dog will still be there. When he’s wet, dirty, what ever. I wish I did that crate training stuff.

Ahhh, he is soooo cute! I wish they put the cage in Michael’s bedroom so the puppy wouldn’t have to be alone.

Farley’s a whole lotta cute; but just like it only takes a little cold water to make hot water lukewarm, it only takes a little wet dog (or not-house-trained dog) to counteract a lot of cute.

I can’t have more animals, since I have 6 cats and we may be moving soon and I’ll need to find homes for a few of them. But if you can adopt an animal, do so!

So far they haven’t named him yet. I hope they do a storyline around that.

summerdog says: I couldn’t cage that cute puppy. Where is the fun of having him be part of your family, by doing that? I will never put puppy or kitten in the cage like “a prison” for no reason. Just put the gate (block) between the frame of door in the bathroom and put a lot of newspapers on the floor and put old blanket on the floor to make pup or kitten to sleep on for their comfort. I do not like to put the pup or kitten in cage, otherwise; it will effect both of pets too traumatic.

Don’t forget to spay or neuter your animals. Please don’t add to the unwanted population of animals that are out there now.

Farley was never neutered, and Connie’s dog wasn’t spayed, and we know what that led to!

Marg I agree with you Susan you’re funny to tell Marg like a Bob Parker Yea too way overpopulation of dogs and cats so should have nueter and spay. I had my cat spayed when he was 8 months old. He was so fine boy cat! I loved him very much and I treasured him forever and ever.

    Susan001 says:

Margueritem, are you REALLY Bob Barker? LOL

No, just an animal lover, with three neutered/ spayed dogs. ;-)

Aww… that’s Farley when he was little. I remember the strip when Farley died. Sigh. Just wonderful to be able to view the old strips.

Actually, this is a new one she drew to “flesh out” the Farley story.

No way I could leave that puppy in that cage. He would end up sleeping in my bed

Farley should have a blanket that smells like his mum. It would help him settle down. Plus a clock with a tick that would mimic her heartbeat
