That is awesome, Greg, on par with Calvin & Hobbes “blue light special” https://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/1987/04/18

I only had one biological kid, made picking a favorite easier

I did tell him we got him at the flea market because he was a factory second

With six kids it was more like, “Which one are you least likely to sell for medical research?”

My Dad used to say “How’s my favorite Son In Law? My ONLY Son In Law, but, my favorite one!” When my sister got married, Dad quit saying that, when they were around, but, the joke lived on when they weren’t.

I was over at Mikey’s place the other day. You won’t believe his room! Everything a kid would want! The guy he has to do his homework is awesome! The candy machine was being repaired, but the soda machine had 42 flavors.

More creative than my answer would have been. I would have said, “neither, that’s why your mother is having another child.”……

We always told our kids, “It varies from day to day”.

Favoritism doesn’t work out well… Isaac & Rebekah each had a favorite son, and then one of them, Jacob, didn’t learn the lesson and picked a favorite too: Joseph, the youngest (at the time). Joseph’s brothers hated him so much they sold him into slavery and told their father he’d been killed by wild animals.
