Was the movie Slap Shot based on a novel, or was it an original screenplay? Read that.
I recommend the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett. They’re fun and funny!
But did he read the Rod Gilbert book? RIP, Rod.
Why Stephen King, of course!
“The Wonderful World of Touques”?
IIRC, there is a biography of Normie Kwong out there. If the strip takes place in Edmonton the Bub should probably find it a good one.
There should be some books on women’s beach volleyball somewhere.
If it’s high quality science fiction or fantasy you want, try the works of David Drake. His stuff is as unique as it is well written.
A renaissance man, huh?
How about “Hawking”, that’s close, right? Right?
