For a man over 70, Slim sure looks young. In fact he seems to be de-aging, since in that middlemost panel his face flat-out looks like an infant’s.

Slum seems slightly different in appearance than before. Particularly his bird beak in the fourth panel.

This is why I make a point of calling my doctors’ offices as soon as they open. Less time on “hold”.

Typical part time PA. Covid has changed much in availability but given clinic docs much time off.

Like Super Intendent Charmers of the Simpsons world would say “SKINNER!!!!!”

my doctor referred me to specialist and his office only sees hmo’s on mondays, so now we have medical discrimination (naturally my day off is thursday)

Ahh, the new personalized health care system.

I have that. I work M-F, two weeks days, two weeks evenings. The doctors at my assigned clinic work bankers hours. So, if it’s serious, just make the appointment with the coroner.

His given name is Slim? I’d expect something like Clarence and Slim just a nickname.

Sli should go to lunch, spill the catsup on his shirt, then drive to the Dr. office and ask for an appointment.

I have close to the same issue with my Dr. hard to get in. I know a comic strip but it fits minus the wrong spelling of the name.

So they are still calling the 76-year old physician’s assistant “Chipper” instead of his given name “Thomas.”

The weakest link in our current medical hierarchy is the person at the desk; the one who manages appointments and is in charge of billing. I have even switched cities one time to get away from the clueless gatekeepers.

Slim could just take a small-town walk over there.But the human receptionist isn’t anybetter than the phone call.
