Stop buying birthday presents. Dogs and cats don’t mind/care.

I’m sorry, you should continue buying birthday presents and go broke – just don’t blame it on your pets.

Wait for the next leap year and adopt them on Feb 29. That could save you a bit

Parrots can live to be 100+. Don’t forget to make arrangements for who will take him when you die.
