Ziggy did have pants for a while back in the 90’s or early 2000s, not sure why he stopped.

Tom is leaving that for you to go shopping for pants. He does not know what you would like.

But, Ziggy, there are rare occasions where you are drawn with trousers. Oh, you mean full-time wearing trousers? Maybe that will happen whoever succeeds Tom II when he either retires or dies.

We’ve all been wondering the same thing.

The cartoonists have been drawing you without pants since you came to be 50 plus years ago Zig. Why start now?

I always thought that the long shirts covered the short shorts. 50 years is my guess.

Ziggy has been drawn with shorts or swim trunks a number of times when he’s at the beach.
