Had a coworker whos grandmother went in for cataract surgery, she was pretty much a homebody and didn’t like going anywhere due to her poor eyesight. When she was finally willing to go outside on a warm autumn day, the last two panels pretty much captured her joy.
My Mom fell asleep in 2011. And I’m still going through some of her things. I found an old book of pressed leaves that she did as a young girl in the late 1920s or early 1930s..

I believe that there was a previous Sunday strip with this same basic storyline.
