I amuse myself by imagining aliens observing our behavior; watching us following our dogs around picking up their poo; and making the logical conclusion about who is in charge…
I had to clean up my dog’s dookie out of a flower bed the other day. I assume another dog had peed on the flowers first. I managed to get it all – I had visions of the owner of the home clearing out her flower bed at the end of the season barehanded as motivation to be very thorough. Sometimes she sticks it to the side of large rocks. Our dawn walks are never boring.
My eldest son, who has cats because his long-time girlfriend hates dogs, called last night. One of the two cats who “came with the house” they bought, but lives in the garage and does not get along with their cat, had to be euthanized. They’ve had the house, and therefore the two male cats, for two years. Alex was very upset about the passing of this cat, but miss cat-woman didn’t seem to be. I do not understand what my warm, funny, dog-loving son sees in her. Other family members have asked the same question. Oy vey!

A good pooper scooper is hard to find. Let it ride Poncho.
