Modern Brooklynites no longer speak with the same accent as pre-WWII Brookyn natives like Bugs.

I used to know a man who enjoyed saying “T’ree poiple boids, sittin’ onna coib-stone, twoipin’ and choipin’ an’ eatin’ doity oit-woims”.

DAD: "Hmmm…How about me saying: "Wouldn"t you like to help me raking the leaves, huh?"

RED: Uuuuummm…

ROVER: That’s all, folks!

Sometimes today Bugs doesn’t sound quite like Bugs (anymore).

There’s no Bugs like the old Bugs!

I used to love the way Bugs pronounced some things, like “Perth Amboy.” It was great getting to watch a few cartoons at the movie theater before the main feature. Though I enjoyed them all, my favorite was—and still is—Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner.

Mel Blanc always placed Bugs somewhere between Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Eh. What’s up Doc? Abadee, abadee, that’s all folks!

Ahhh…Mel Blanc. Loved him especially when he had acting parts in old movies.

Mel was a great actor. He didn’t get the respect he deserved because of the medium he worked in for years.

I think Dad’s been away from Brooklyn too long to sound “native,” lol ;)

when i was 12 years old, i made my parents take me to see Jack Benny live…he had his whole tv show cast with him, including Mel Blanc…i saw Bugs Bunny live

I want to buy a boat and name it the ’What’s up’. Then I can moor it at the What’s Up Dock.

Bugs Bunny, in Mel Blanc’s day, was the best!

Real Brooklynites do. I had a friend who lived in Brooklyn and talked like bugs bunny. Unfortunately he just died at a very young age.
