He’s happy. Actually, he’s the happiest sibling in the family. The first one is always sad. The second is morose. The third is quick to anger. The fourth is jealous, and the twins, fifth and sixth, always bicker. Seventh constantly pines for the fjords, and eighth sighs wistfully all the time.
My tulip tree was starting to drop leaves due to the August dry spell. Fortunately, we got enough happy rain showers in the past week to perk it back up again. September rains give the trees one last chance to build up enough tree starch to see them through the leafless winter!
