i started picking up college history textbooks published up to 1965..LBJ’s involvement is to the last notable point in history for me.

Yes we are rewriting the 15th century History and the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st also we will rewrite the 22nd century even before it happens. It is just what we are doing today.

Got to make it fit our current day values and views.

So, like most other sections, they’re expanding it? I find it refreshing that we have increasing access to more than just summaries of handpicked history tuned to the author’s bias – conscious or unconscious. Extended volumes of original source material, both in print and online, give us a much more thorough picture of our past.
