I was still a kid when it actually happened. I thought they were just demolishing something. I wasn’t even close.

Class act Snow! Hard to believe it has been 20 years!

I want to cry into Snow’s fur. One of my cats will have to sub. >^^<

I became a veteran after the first Gulf War; I worked with several other veterans, as well. As we watched the carnage unfold, you cannot imagine the concentrated rage in that office … all of us knowing that we no longer had a part to play in the war to come, but feeling such an urgent need to step up, to answer Duty’s call. Twenty years on, I still feel that.

Thanks Snow. Lot of tears this morning. Thanks to all.

To the extent that the terrorists forced us into “security state” behavior and allowed us to be mislead into a a hugely expensive, terribly long, and humanly wasteful foreign war – they won. We must be vigilant against enemies both foreign and domestic. That’s the lesson we must never forget. It’s not about who can wave the flag the loudest.

Living so close to Manhattan, I have been to the 9/11 Memorial. It is beautiful, sad, poignant and humbling, all at the same time. To anyone in the Tri-State area, I recommend that you go and visit.
