Why do parents treat kids as free labour?

Children have a 7th sense about potential parental chores coming their way.

I wonder if Calvin had Hobbes test the drink.

Oh, the joys and displeasures of parenthood.

Calvin: “Who are you talking to, mom?”Mom: “ahh, what the?”

That only happens to me in restaurants.

Our cat, who’s mostly grey and white can disappear against a background of any color… until you see an ear or some other small part, then suddenly she’s visible.

Putting a scrapbook together (which it looks like Mom is doing) ought to be fun, not work.

Unless Mom gets all “mushy”, that is.

All kids have this ability and they don’t need an elixir to do it. Kids are like policemen, never around when you need them always around when you don’t

Tell him he can have some ice cream. That usually works on adults, too!

Uh oh. I hope invisible Calvin doesn’t get hit by a car.

If Calvin helped out around the house, it would give his mother time to reflect on important issues, such as remembering her own name!

That is the way it is. I have sister when came to say wash dishes back when we was kid she disappear in the bathroom and waited until I finished.

I think Calvin meant invisible, not transparent. There are nuances of difference.

The only time Calvin’s clothes turn invisible with him!

Mom, you’re an intelligent woman. Why in heaven’s name would you want anything you needed done, to be done by Calvin???

It’s a knack. I didn’t mind helping when Mom was in a good mood but it just wasn’t worth it when she was in a bad mood.

So they don’t grow up thinking the world owes them a free ride through life.

It works.

It makes Hobbes invisible also?

As I’ve said before, what does she expect from the world’s most rambunctious 6 year old with an imagination greater than Rod Serling’s??

Because we wasted time creating them!

Is this arc the one where Calvin is walking around the neighborhood stark naked and Susie sees him?
