My husband tells this funny story about how his mother bought them ginger jam. (yuck). They weren’t eating it and she made it clear that she’d buy no more jam until they finished it. So they each took a spoonful each day (there were six kids) and threw it out. It seemed to disappear so quickly, she thought they decided that they loved it, so she bought another jar! LOL You can’t fool a mom.
Just do what everyone else does. Spread them around on your plate with mashed potatoes to make it look like you ate some. Actually I like peas and mashed potatoes mixed together, maybe with gravy.
I have hated peas my entire life (even as a baby I’d spit out baby food made from peas). When I was young I’d have battles of wits very much like this with my father. The things I’d do to get out of eating peas! Anyway, the battles finally came to an end when I was in my teens and my father was growling at me to eat my peas, so I got up, walked to the fridge, took out an onion, handed it to him, and said “I’ll eat those peas when you eat that onion”.

When I was little, I would fill up my mouth with peas, ask to go to the bathroom, then spit them out.
I dont know how my parents didnt know…..

I can relate. I have hated peas all my life. Even went to bed without dinner when I was a boy because I refused to eat them
