One of the prettiest sights I have seen was a rural wire fence with four spider-webs coated with morning dew glistening in the sun. They looked like diamond jewellry.
My problem with spiders is that they’re sneaky and they don’t respect my space. They like to hide and then appear from nowhere, building a web where I’m liable to walk into it, which I hate. And they’re judgmental; if they think I’m going to harm them they bite first and ask questions later. Plus, they look funny which means they’re not as good as us beautiful people.
My cats were playing with something behind a table this morning. Turns out it was a spider. Rare sight in my place. I don’t mind them, but they’re rare because my cats take care of them. I’m not asking questions……
If you’ve ever had a welt on your neck for a week because of the bite of tiny spider, you will clean out the cobwebs regularly. Not all spiders are venomous but they like the same areas for their webs.

So what are you going to do when flies come around? Spiders are good bugs, they’re not dirty; they are our friends.

You draw smug very well but spiders are good creatures so why the attitude?

I can’t help myself, I just gotta say it: spiders are not insects!
There. I feel better now. Holding that in was starting to hurt.

Hmm…. Maybe…. It seems that he did not have the heart to get rid of the spider’s web. His intention was to let his wife do it.

Hubby will fight dragons for me, is not afraid of snakes, but goes into fits when he sees a spider.
