PBS launched a Downton Abbey marathon during their summer daytime begging season. All six years AND the movie. Interesting fact about the movie: The actor portraying King George V played Arthur Dent in the original BBC Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy tv and radio programmes and LP records in the early 80s. He had more hair and a smaller waistline as Arthur, but it’s good to be the King.

Whenever PBS would marathons, such as Dr. Who, there were long pledge drive breaks and you didn’t know when to get back to the tv.
