The good old days were never as good as we remember them, but then again, the bad old days were seldom as bad, so I guess it all works out in the end.

I was born in the “good old days” of the big depression. What fun.

I was probably 4 or 5 at the time. But retirement brings good new days.

I agree… It wasn’t bad. Frankly, I never could get the hang of Thursdays.

As a boomer it’s hard to say that the days of “Duck and Cover” were good old days.

I remember a few, but I’d like to go back about 60 years to change the rest of them.

I remember going through the downtown Woolworth’s Dime Store when I was 4 or 5 with my Aunt Peggy. As we neared the rear door, I asked her, “Why can’t we eat at the back restaurant. It always smells so good.” (It was also next to the toys and hardware, too.) She said, “No, that’s where the coloreds eat.” I didn’t understand.

No matter what, I don’t think anyone will ever recall these last few years as “The good old days.”!

Yeah, I do remember those days and last Thursday wasn’t one of them. Every era has its ups and down, its good and bad and we can learn to adjust to those types of changes, that’s just life. However, when that stability is rocked to its core and is not a temporary flux in the life cycle, by both man made or natural disasters with their resultant changes, those periods can never be considered the good old days for those that lived through them……

‘The good old days’ are subjective. Depending on my mood, they could be aby time in the past. The same as asking me what my favorite movie is…

You mean the good old days when you inherited the mother-in-law from hell, Brutus?

Once upon a time there was a tavern, where we used to raise a glass or two. Remember how we whiled away the hours…think of all the great things we would do ?

I love being retired. I can now do what I could not do when working especially on the weekends.

I remember them, they were before Reagan became president. America went downhill from there for everyone but the 1%.
