That’s why I don’t give people grief when they pray over giving money during a crisis. You don’t know their story. Maybe they’re living paycheck-to-paycheck to keep their kids fed. Maybe they lost their job and can’t afford to. Maybe they’re in debt and have to handle priority situations. So instead? They pray, because they still want to do SOMETHING. I’m not religious and am a man of science, but to me, praying even when you have nothing else to give means the spirit is there and the heart is in the right place. Why hate on that? Pray on, my friend. A heart that loves is never a bad thing.
