Is the boy in front of them looking at Dawn’s haircut or her legs? He has a little smile on his face and his pupils are looking down, so I am going to guess legs. Now the girl behind them, whose pupils are aimed to her right, is probably looking at the hair. She has no chance of seeing the legs.
As for Candace, do girls really call other girls “babe” and “man”?
I sort of remember my first boot camp haircut the same way. I suppose it’s not so bad when everyone else is scared and bald too, except the cool people in the big hats.
Dawn, Candace practically complemented you. There’s some solace. Suggest back that she get the same haircut. Liz, talk to your friends and mom about getting the same haircut to make Dawn feel better. I started a hairless solidarity at a school when one of the students was diagnosed with cancer. We all got crew cuts (even the girls) so the student wouldn’t feel so out of place when treatment caused hair loss.
If Dawn had loved the haircut, Candace would have totally taken credit. *cue eye roll * I know I HAD a “friend” like this as a tween… luckily, I had true friends who steered me away from this “person.”

Peer pressure at 1000 pounds per square inch on the fragile ego of a kid. And as far as I am concerned, Bernice is still very much “kid” inside.

I don’t know what all the fuss is. I think it looks good on her. (And not because I’m sporting the shorn look, I just think she pulls it off well)

I think Candace is more of an enemy than a friend.

Difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is two weeks.

Candace eventually went for “the spiked look”.But today she looks like a hypocrite.
From now on,everybody say “You first!” to Candace.

I love how everyone starts talking about something having nothing to do with the strip at times… makes you really wonder about “history”!!

PS… wait until the compliments start coming from the “cool” girls!

Dawn: you were “persuadable”: per·suad·a·ble is an adjective which means:
easily persuaded; amenable.
Candace is the one who is “persuasive”…!

“Must I blame the simple girl who got a bad haircut, and not touch a hair of the wily so-called friend who talked her into it?”

Why do people comment on HowtheDuck? I think there’s something wrong with that poster. Just my opinion.

Young people do crazy haircuts like this for the attention they get. However some people, especially teen girls, regret taking that step.
