None that I heard of and all the better for the dogs, considering the body count in that play.

But in Hamlet, it could be a dog who digs up Yorick’s scull.

Guess it will do with a little rearrangement: what about “The Winter’s Tail” or “Sniff the King’s Rear”?

According to Google, a dog has appeared once in a Shakespearian play – Crab in The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Though they could work an appearance of the Dogs of War into Julius Ceasar.

(“Crab”. What a name for a dog.)

If Hamlet had had a dog, maybe he wouldn’t have been such a whiny pissant.

Macbeth’s dog was named Spot. Remember when Lady Macbeth says “Out! Out damned Spot!”

I know Shakespeare refers to “dogs of war.” Dogs on a couch, not so much.

To pee or not to pee! That is the question-Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer the rolled up newspapers of outrageous owners, or to soil the carpet against a sea of troubles, and, by opposing, stain them?” The idea of whether is it better to live outside or inside.
