    One time I asked some people on a subway platform what’s the difference between a “perfect game” and a “no-hitter”.

    Two ladies answered my question. Probably were “sports widows”!!

    I gave up on all Pro Sports when they got political. I wanted to watch a sports game. Not some way, way overpaid athletes airing their social grievance.

    Why are they even using a pitching machine? In practice, this is a time for the pitchers to get in some practice, too.

    In our small country grade school I was usually the pitcher because I tried to throw the ball exactly where the big boy batter wanted it. Much later, I was surprised to find out the idea was to keep the batter from hitting the ball.
