Saw some oatmeal on the shelves with ‘naturally flavoured’ on the box. The ingredient list looked like a chemistry lab. A poison mushroom is ‘all natural’; it doesn’t mean I’d wish to eat one.
Wouldn’t that be “most” packaged products, but if you eat it doesn’t that “qualify” as food. Vegetables aren’t food, they are what food eats (I don’t recall who said that)
I wish I could remember the name of the stuff that Madeline Otterloop buys for her son Petey in the old comic strip Cul de Sac, viewable on this very website. Petey is very protective of his “Global Picky-Eater Rating.” She gets him something like “Bland-O’s”, except it’s a funnier and more creative name than that.

I think I’m gonna have to side with your mom on this one, Eddie.
“Based on actual food!” or worse, “Inspired by actual food!”

Edible, dietary, food-like, nutrition neutral, harm-free, excretable… maybe in combination with “possibly”?

But “food” is kids’ favorite thing to eat!

I just want to eat something that tastes good, not worry about nutrition and all that nonsense

The rest of the label says ’Not to be confused with “food” or “food by-products”.
