“Dude”, which came into widespread use when I was young, was a genderless term.
Why do you need to address someone with a gender classification? Just say hello.
Like so many today she looks to be offended so she can assert her self perceived moral superiority.
This one hasn’t aged well, unfortunately, Michael. Wait staff use “guys” as a genderless noun these days. My husband and I (with me female) are addressed as “you guys” all the time.
