UPS arrived, and dropped off two packages! The first consisted of two mesh bags of 30 pressureless tennis balls each. The second package was a component tester I’d been waiting for, so I left the tennis balls on the porch table while I got some batteries. When I came back, both bags were gone. Exploration of the yard found both bags torn to shreds, and tennis balls everywhere! It looked like Wimbledon had exploded!
Even with Sophie’s help, I only found 55 balls. Coincidentally, over the next month or so, she’d turn up with a pristine ball when I hadn’t given her one.
