Poor Fluffy, indeed! Invite him inside to count floor tiles. They don’t move.
As a very little kid, I was not allowed to set foot out of bed until both hands on the clock were pointing straight down — a.k.a. 6:30a.m. I remember lying awake and waiting for it. I would count anything I could find: ceiling beams, fruit pictures on my pillowcase, the slats on the bottom of my sister’s bed (I was on the bottom bunk, of course) tiles on the floor, etc.

Oh poor thing. Bring him inside by the fireplace and have him play a quiet game with Granny Sourpuss. Tea and animal crackers served on the side.

Fluffy could have counted leaves here in DC yesterday. The top wind speed was 2 MPH!
