Anything common is not good enough for Calvin.
Calvin is a master contrarian.
Either way, you have a problem, Calvin.
Like all 6-year-olds around the world.
It’s not common sense to ignore common sense, Calvin.
Ignorance is Bliss vs Rest of the world – the jury is still out!
For Calvin “Plenty of common sense” is what the rest of us think of as “loose cannon”.
You told him to clear the table. He’s 6, mom. Did you tell him to carry one thing at a time? No, you told him to hurry. He did. In a sense, YOU broke the dish by giving a six year old incomplete instructions.
Right, Calvin!!
Sensible.
Just trying to get it over with sooner……
“Common sense” is an oxymoron.
Let’s warp the kid for life by telling him he has “a problem.”
Calvin reminds me of Red Skelton’s “Mean Widdle Kid”. If I do it, I’ll get a whipping. I’ll do it!
The problem with common sense is, it isn’t – Ben Franklin.
Common sense is neither common nor is it sense. – Me
As do many people, Calvin!
At least he has common sense. Unlike… never mind.
Bill Watterson is a comic genius. And he draws pretty good, too.
Common sense is an uncommon virtue, and virtue is less common than you might hope.
Wait until he tries to juggler crystal glasses
Common sense ain’t.
There are times when it is common sense to ignore common sense.
My father always had to remind us to PAY ATTENTION. Now they call it “mindfulness”. Ha!
He takes after his Dad.
He’s just practicing to ignore reality altogether
Well, that ’s good for you, not caring about what other people think about you
Calvin great job
Like most people.
With a kid that age, parents with common sense would be using Melmac dishes
In 12 years, Calvin will be the idiot saying " Hold my beer and watch this".
Common or garden sense.
Nowadays, common sense ain’t so common
A hell of a lot other people do not pay attention to common sense. Look at congress for example.
He sounds like a good Republican
The modern world in a nutshell.
One of my all time Favorite Calvin Strips, Classic Words of Wisdom.

Calvin’s mum does not realize that Calvin is contributing to her character building.
