Back when I was a Salvation Army donation station attendant, I once scrambled to get things in the shed (which used to be in a corner of the parking lot of the grocery store at which I’m presently employed) because it was raining. Then I tripped over a donated bicycle which caused me to have a sore limp for a few weeks.
I can relate. I’m waiting for my daughter’s wedding in January and then going in for a hip replacement. It’s so bad right now. Bone on bone. I love getting old. Already had both knees replaced but need to have them done again. :sigh:

So far (knock on wood) no hip trouble. Other parts yes just not in the hips.

That’s the old “I’ve got a hiccup in my giddy up” walk.

Was my back that would go out . Tis the reason I walk every day to help keep it strong :-)

I do that “dance” on a regular basis, especially when certain weather fronts move through.

Only the right knee here. When it goes, I go down. I guess as I progressively get older the chance of that knee taking out the hip increases.

I was born in Tacoma, Washington. Does that explain my hips?? :)
