Why only seven years and not some other number? Was it originally supposed to be some portion of one’s life?
Ask the youger generation why a broken clock is right twice a day. They can’t tell time by them.
Shards of broken mirror glass can get under your skin and take up to seven years to work their way out. (That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.)

If it is just blinking 12:00 it is still right twice a day. Does anyone remember the pre-LED digitals ? They had little sections that flipped over.
