Once again we are starting out with 47 degrees and will not go any higher then 48, a carbon copy of yesterday except, no rain. (^.^)
The day started out with no internet so I fired up my game of Civilization IV. At about 8:15 I checked and it was back up so here I am. (^.^)
Today’s avatar is for Veteran’s Day, a military cemetery with spirit images of solders from all the wars the US have been in. A fitting tribute to our Veterans.
Well, it happened again. Zero children trick-or-treating. We live in a 162 unit condo complex with 3 other huge apartment complexes on the same road and a very large neighborhood of single family homes across the road. You’d think that at least a few kids would show up. Oh well. We bought full sized Hershey bars to give out. It won’t be any real effort for us to eat them.
The new avatar is the USS Curtis missile frigate. I thought it would be appropriate for Veteran’s Day.
We started a study of Revelation yesterday. It was mostly introduction and explanation, but Pastor Tim makes it very interesting.
We had a great time with Mike yesterday afternoon and evening. He stayed the night and we are off to the courthouse in another 15 minutes or so. Wish me luck (aka pray for me).
We got up to 84 yesterday. Unexpected. Today’s forecast is for 79 and it is 62 at the moment.
I woke up to a chilly 37, it is now 43 and our high for the day should be 48. We will see. It is cloudy, but we are not expecting any rain today.
I live in a residential subdivision in the country. We had no trick or treaters and very few cars out last night. Over the last 10 years or so Halloween has shifted to more church sponsored Fall Festivals with games and activities and lots of candy. And scary costumes are discouraged. A couple of groups gather in the park and have trunk or treat to hand out candy. There is very little door to door anymore around here. I miss seeing the kids in their costumes. We did have a few young kids yesterday morning come in costume. The times they are a-changing.

Another cold day……16 degrees! But have no fear, it should get up to 46 by the end of the day.
I always thought Veteran’s Day was Nov, 11th. So I’ll wait until then to thank those who served.

Everything went as expected. I pled “no contest” and paid a fine and it’s all over. Then we went out to breakfast and enjoyed ourselves.
