The temperature is at 25 degrees right now, and is expected to reach 40 with a mix of sun and clouds this morning getting cloudier in the afternoon. Ah, fall.
It snowed yesterday, no accumulation how ever except for Mount Mansfield. Smuggler’s Notch, which is on the north end of the mountain was closed and maybe reopened before winter but it will be closed when winter sets in, snowmobiles only. Smuggler’s Notch is a leaf peeper’s paradise and forget about going up there in the fall if you want to get to where your going.

We are looking at another 80 degree day. It’s only 66 at the moment, though. (9:30 AM) As yesterday, blue skies, a few wispy clouds and relatively clean air. (Microsoft weather isn’t even showing the AQI anymore.)
Today is our 38th wedding anniversary, though we have been together for over 40 years. We are heading over to Lawrey’s for dinner this evening. It’s our favorite place for a dress-up evening out. Sometimes they host a “murder mystery” dinner and we usually have a blast at those.
One of our neighbors behind us had an eviction notice posted yesterday. The locks got changed too, with a marshal in attendance. The odd thing is that no one has seen them for a couple of months now. It’s like they have vanished. They were a nice young couple with a toddler. I was told by the guy that changed the locks that they paid rent for the first month and never paid again. Well, they lived here for about 3 weeks and have never been seen again. Weird. All I can do is pray for them.
